Adelaide Kane reveals ‘crippling debt’ behind $ 5 million net worth

Australian actress Adelaide Kane visibly Google her net worth as she was stunned by the internet’s analysis of her apparent fortune.

“So I found out today that the internet thinks I was worth $ 4 million,” said the 30-year-old. Reign Star said in a TikTok video posted last week. “My crushing debt says otherwise. OR?!”

Kane responded with another video, giving fans a detailed breakdown of where his money is going. She explained that a large part of her income is divided between her agent, her manager, her lawyer, her business manager, her publicist, her stylists, her hairdressers and makeup artists. She is also heavily taxed for being a foreign worker in the United States, and rent has also been added to her cost breakdown.

“In general, SAG [Screen Actors Guild] the minimum for a regular series on a network show is $ 20,000 per episode, ”she began.

“Say I did 78 episodes on Reign; that’s equivalent to $ 1.56 million for four years of work.

“So, assuming I’ve made $ 5 million in my entire career since I started working at 16. Here’s how it breaks down.”

Kane explained that his agent and manager each took 10 percent of the money, with five percent each going to his lawyer and business manager. 30 percent went to taxes.

“So I’m losing 60 percent right off the bat, which leaves me around $ 2.2 million over the past 14 years,” she said.

“Which, if you average it, comes out to $ 178,000 a year, which would be nice, a good salary. Except I have to pay rent in the big cities, sometimes two cities at a time.

The actress went on to explain that she had to shell out $ 2,000 to $ 3,000 per month for a team of publicists and social media, with a stylist costing her $ 700 to $ 1,500 per outfit and $ 1,000 for hairdressers and makeup artists.

The video that was shot in her bedroom has garnered more than three million views on TikTok.

In one later video, Kane defended her spending habits, insisting that she had saved a large chunk of her earnings.

“Just to be clear, every actor I know is saving as much as humanly possible because most of us spend months or sometimes years going from job to job,” she said. .

“And we’re getting residue, but … So I’m fine, but my savings won’t last forever, you know what I mean?” “
